Affiliate Disclosure

Luxury Backpackers uses affiliate links on some pages. This page explains exactly how that works and what it means for you.

What Affiliate Links Are

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase or booking, I may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use my link or go directly.

How This Site Uses Them

Affiliate links appear in gear reviews, accommodation recommendations, insurance comparisons, and flight tools. Current and planned programs include Amazon Associates, Booking.com, Hostelworld, Airbnb, GetYourGuide, SafetyWing, Skyscanner, and others relevant to the luxury backpacking niche.

Non-Amazon affiliate links are labeled (paid link) where they appear. Amazon links are handled automatically per their program requirements.

Editorial Independence

Affiliate relationships never determine what gets recommended. Products, stays, and tools are chosen because they’re genuinely useful for this style of travel — not because of commission rates. I’d rather recommend nothing than recommend something that doesn’t hold up.

When You’ll See Disclosure

Affiliate disclosure appears at the top of articles that contain affiliate links and on any Resources page. You won’t have to hunt for it.

For more on FTC guidelines around affiliate disclosure, see the FTC’s guidance on endorsements and disclosures.
